Nevada’s Paiutes spoke of a race of giant red-headed cannibals who 
attacked and ate members of the surrounding tribes. Eventually, the neighboring tribes banded together against the red-headed giants and trapped them in Lovelock Cave, where they were finally exterminated.

 

In 1911, while mining Lovelock Cave, guano miners discovered thousands of artifacts and mummified remains, some of which were enormous and had red hair attached to their skulls. The local university was called in to excavate the cave, and the artifacts and mummies were removed and dispersed to several museums. Strangely, the mummies disappeared out of the public view. Did the 1911 discovery confirm the Paiute story of the red-headed giants? What happened to the giant skeletons, and why are they hidden from the public?

Floyd Wills's investigation into Lovelock Cave’s mystery reveals compelling evidence that the red-haired giants’ Paiute tales were true. Mr. Wills supports his belief with newspaper articles, Native American accounts of giants, eyewitness testimony, photographs of skeletal remains, and artifacts found in and around Lovelock Cave.

 

While researching the Paiute story, Mr. Wills discovered reports of giant skeleton discoveries in the Americas going back over a hundred years and shows how major scientific institutions like the Smithsonian have suppressed these finds. Not only have giant skeletons been found, but the bones of a race of "little people" that the Native American tribes have spoken of for thousands of years.
